Pickleball is still the nation's fastest growing sport, and its immense popularity is no different in Skokie.

To help accommodate the sport's Skokie explosion, six new outdoor pickleball courts are now open at Oakton Park, located just south of the Skokie Water Playground and just southeast of the south ball diamond.

The complex feature benches, a water fountain and push-button lights, which will automatically turn off at 10 p.m.
