Skokie greenskeeper earns Class A designation

(2.4.14) Ross Page, the head greenskeeper for the Skokie Park District, recently earned his profession's top competency designation, Class A, based upon a combination of formal education, experience as a golf course superintendent, continuing education, and passing an integrated pest management competency exam.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), an international leader in golf course management, awards a Class A designation to members who have demonstrated personal commitment to lifelong learning and elevating the golf course management profession. Page was specifically cited by the GCSAA for his strong commitment to environmental stewardship and for enhancing the Skokie Park District's golf operations and the enjoyment of its golfers.

As head greenskeeper, Page oversees the care of the Skokie Park District's golf range at Skokie Sports Park and the district's Weber Park Golf Course.
