On Sunday, former Blackhawk Jamal Mayers made a surprise visit to the "Little Blackhawks" class, participating in skills groups, and giving the kids photo ops and signing autographs.

The Skatium Ice Arena is teaming up with the Chicago Blackhawks and Total Hockey Stores to offer this kids' learn-to-skate hockey program. Included in the class fee is full equipment and a jersey for each participant.

Mayers, from Toronto, played 15 seasons in the NHL and was a member of the 2013 Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks. He also spent time playing for the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, and San Jose Sharks. He is currently an analyst for the NHL Network.
