Skatium Ice Arena hockey classes are divided into three programs. The Future Flyers for kids who have yet to play organized hockey. Leagues for players already on a team. And finally, an adult instructional program. All classes are designed to improve a player's base of knowledge & skill. We offer our programs to all ages & abilities. We also offer a Youth House League for the 5- to 17-year-olds who have taken classes or acquired the skills to play on an organized team. Our Adult 25-plus No-Check League is for the competitive adult player, offering two tiers based on skill level. The Youth House League is for individual player sign up only. No reservations are required for public skate sessions or events, please pay your admission and skate rental fee at the Skate Rental desk upon arrival.

One hour of exclusive ice time.

Intro to Hockey Flex Classes for ages 3-13

The Skatium offers introduction to hockey classes as a 10-class drop-in (no pass or pre-registration needed)

10 Class Pass: $125 (skate rental fee separate)
Class Drop-in: $15 per class
Skate Rental: $3 per class

Participants are encouraged to have their own equipment; however, we do have a limited supply of equipment available for use.

Level 1 Class Schedule
Thursdays 4:50 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sundays 11:05 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. & 12:35 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Level 2 Class Schedule
Thursdays 4 p.m. - 4:40 p.m.
Sundays 11:45 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.

Fearless Flyers Hockey

This is an intermediate level class for the player who has completed Future Flyers or has one year of team experience. This class is designed to continue progressive work on skating skills, stickhandling, passing and shooting. Players must have their own equipment for this program. No class on December 22 or December 29.

Adult Hockey Class

The spring season will also include 6 team practices. Players must play at their 2024-25 age level. Play begins the weekend of March 21st and concludes no later than June 14th. Evaluation and Initial practice schedule will be emailed to all players approximately March 15th. Important! It is a requirement by all leagues that all Flyers 10U (Squirts),12U (Pee Wees) & 14U (Bantams) be registered, sanctioned with the national governing body of amateur hockey in the United States – USA Hockey. To become registered you must register from their website at www.usahockeyregistration.com. When registering, there is a fee to USA Hockey of $61 for players born before 2016. A printed out receipt must be turned in as proof of registration at the time of registration. All 2024-25 Fall/Winter players’ USA Hockey registrations are still valid for spring 2025. All new players who are not registered with USA Hockey are granted a waiver until April 1, 2025. By registering after April 1st your registration will be valid through August 31, 2025.
