Explore a different era of art history each day this winter break. Make your own art as you recreate famous works and practice techniques pioneered by important artists, all while learning how art informs our understanding of history.
Today's theme is Art Noveau, an international style of art popular c. 1883-1914 that encompassed many forms and functions beyond prints and paintings, including architecture, jewelry, ceramics, and furniture. It emphasized natural forms, movement, and the breaking down of the distinction between Fine Art and decorative elements.
Ages 9-12. Fee: $32 (resident) / $40 (non-resident).
