The Mitchell Museum of the American Indian focuses exclusively on the history, culture and arts of North American native peoples. The Charles Gates Dawes House is a national historic landmark, built in 1894. This chateau-like residence has been faithfully restored and carefully conserved. We will enjoy docent-led tours of both local treasures. Tours run about 90-minutes each. Please note that Dawes house has a second floor to explore on your own and there is no elevator.
