The overall program features drop-in programs, exercise classes, Monday movies, card clubs, seasonal parties, health and wellness fairs, shopping trips, lunch and dinner outings, day trips, vacation getaways and more.

The lounge at Oakton Community Center is available to members only. Membership offers unlimited use of the Lounge, during Lounge hours, by reservation, a $10 annual program voucher to use toward active adult exercise, parties or trips at the Oakton Center, and free movie and popcorn Mondays. In this classroom refresher course, you must attend both days of the class, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Visit the Oakton Center to register and reserve a spot. Canasta Lessons

Learn the basics of this classic fun and easy-to-play card game while learning to play triple play, a variation of the canasta game that uses seven decks of cards. Hot Shot Sports: Legacy Sports Play

Rediscover the joy of the games you love! Our low-impact programs provide a safe, fun-filled environment that encourages participation while minimizing the risk of injury. All activities are designed with safety and inclusivity in mind, ensuring everyone can join in regardless of their fitness level. Our ‘walking concept’ means no running is allowed, and coaches strictly enforce this rule to keep play safe and enjoyable. Experienced coaches guide you through the games, stopping play to reset actions when necessary. Come and enjoy the camaraderie and excitement of sports in a supportive, welcoming setting! Mitchell Museum & Dawes House

The Mitchell Museum of the American Indian focuses exclusively on the history, culture and arts of North American native peoples. The Charles Gates Dawes House is a national historic landmark, built in 1894. This chateau-like residence has been faithfully restored and carefully conserved. We will enjoy docent-led tours of both local treasures. Tours run about 90-minutes each. Please note that Dawes house has a second floor to explore on your own and there is no elevator. Feed My Starving Children

Volunteer for a one-of-a-kind experience, which will impact hundreds of children in just two hours of your time. You will hand pack rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that are sealed, boxed, and shipped all over the world, to reach the neediest children. No jewelry is allowed in the facility packing room, except wedding bands. After packing, we will go to lunch at The Royal Buffet. The fee includes transportation and lunch. FMSC accepts donations. We‘re off on a guided tour of the birthplace of Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winning author Ernest Hemingway! Door County Adventure

Adventure awaits you in Door County! Travel with Angela and Janeen to Fish Creek, Wisconsin for our first overnight trip. If you enjoy our day trips, then this trip is a must! This three-day, two-night trip will include coach bus transportation, your hotel room located in Fish Creek (double occupancy only), a scenic boat tour, and a total of five meals including a traditional Door County Fish Boil and dinner at a supper club. In addition to Fish Creek, we will explore nearby towns and villages. There will be time for shopping and exploring on your own. A complete itinerary will be available prior to registration. Please note that we have a mix of first floor and second floor rooms and there is no elevator. Cancellations must be made before March 21, in order to receive a full refund.
