Go on a date with Glitzy Girlz and make some special memories for Mom! Whether you are an adult and child making a Mother’s Day gift or a mom spending an evening with your special child in the month of May, this is a celebration of Mom! Each couple will make three surprises: ceramic, wooden and beaded items, with Mom accents and charms. A special gift wrapping/bags station will conceal any take-home surprises to save for Mother’s Day.

Develop your child’s intellect through the fun game of chess! No previous chess knowledge is necessary. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

This is an after school enrichment program in partnership with Fairview District 72. All participants must be a student of Fairview Elementary in the grades of 1-4. This class features a new sport each week. Some of the sports taught and played include basketball, floor hockey, football, kickball, soccer, and baseball.

This is an after school enrichment program in partnership with Fairview District 72. All participants must be a student of Fairview Elementary in the grades of 5-6. Our after school classes follow an open art studio model that provides students with multiple modalities and allows for freedom of choice and expression within the parameters of provided materials. This type of structure has proven successful in after school environments where students are looking for an open and inviting space to play, experiment, release tension, connect with others and process events from the day. We aim to allow students artistic freedom and provide a safe space where they can fully be themselves.

Chicago Loves Dance runs on the philosophy that dance should open your child’s creative abilities and be FUN! We pride ourselves on teaching the self-esteem and socialization needed in everyday life through the activity of dance and performance.

They will learn 3-4 new cheers weekly, work on form, as well as add on to their poms dance routine.

This is an after school enrichment program in partnership with Fairview District 72. All participants must be a student of Fairview Elementary in the grades of 1-4. This exciting new program from Afterschool Enrichment Solutions brings together elements of science, art and math in a hands on, action-packed environment! Students will conduct experiments, play educational games, and unlock their creativity through building challenges and projects. No experience necessary!

Come in your PJs for a pampered night at the spa. Our staff leads the event, teaching manicures and pedicures with a toe and nail polish application. Each kid gets a foot-nail brush, cuticle stick and mini-buffer to use and take home. Fun summer colors and nail stickers in cool summer choices. A charm anklet will be made with great bead selection. Class ends with music and high energy dancing as a fun finale. A spa goodie treat goes home with everyone.

Join us as we design fun goodies to get you ready for the school year! Each participant will create a beaded item for backpack accessories or jewelry. We have a great assortment of themed beads, from crystals, to sports, adventure, unicorns, animals, neon and more. Our crafts include fun accessories for back-to-school decorating, with paints, embellishments, stickers and personalization options. A surprise goodie bag goes home with all guests.

Kids! Develop your body, mind and spirit, as you combine yoga postures with deep breathing and awareness, and experience increased energy, flexibility and peace. No prior yoga experience required. No class 6/19.

Students will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading learning four to five cheers each week, including formations, and poms/dance choreography. Parents are invited for a short performance on the final day of class.

They will then move to the yoga/stretch portion where they will learn some traditional kids’ yoga poses and work on the flexibility and stretch needed to do cheer jumps. Expand your builder’s imagination! Your child will build, learn, and master STEAM motion LEGO® activities, code them to move, make sounds, and even change colors through the tablet! On the last day, builders will receive a LEGO® surprise! No class June 19.

Increase your builder’s creativity with our LEGO® bricks program! Your child will learn science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with a different LEGO® model built each week. Your master builder will be able to create motorized models, 3D color brick builds, and our LEGO® Mosaics. On the last day, builders will receive a LEGO® surprise!

Young Rembrandts provides an engaging, creative environment where your child will learn how to draw and strengthen his or her art skills. During the month of June, our students will have fun on the farm as they create barnyard images. Cute pigs, a colorful tractor and adorable sheep are some of the drawings they will illustrate. A brightly-colored world of inspiration is at your little artist’s fingertips.

Young Rembrandts provides a productive environment where your child will learn how to draw and discover his or her artistic skills. During the month of July, our students will revel in a colorful collection of summer imagery. A detailed sand pail, a fierce shark, and a sailboat are just some of the drawings our students will create. Reveal an imaginative world of drawing to your young artist.

During the month of June, our students will create tropical-inspired images from the Pacific. A scenic Polynesian landscape, a detailed dolphin graphic and colorful Tiki sculptures, humorous parrot characters, fun grass skirts and a surfing sequence are just some of the drawings our students will depict. Set sail for this Pacific paradise.

Space may be the final frontier, but a Young Rembrandts drawing class is the gateway to a universe of artistic development. Young Rembrandts provides a productive atmosphere where your child can discover and strengthen his or her drawing abilities. During the month of July, our students will create images inspired by the space program. An exciting shuttle blast off, a detailed astronaut, adventurous chimps in space and the moon landing are just some of the drawings our students will draw. Set course for education and adventure.

Lace up your hiking boots and pack your binoculars, it’s an adventure through the forest with Young Rembrandts drawing class. Young Rembrandts gives your child the opportunity to strengthen his or her drawing skills. During the month of August, our students will create forest-inspired illustrations. A colorful forest scene, a detailed color pencil drawing, and exciting woodland, Funny animal expressions, a forest filled with ironic situations, and a humorous sequence of events are just some of the drawings our students will illustrate. Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance a child’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Join us for an action-packed battle, in which parents team up with or play against their child in an epic Nerf showdown. Because safety is our top priority, protective eyewear will be provided, as well as rules that ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. Nerf guns and ammunition will also be provided.

Prepare for an epic dodgeball battle of the generations at this parents vs. kids showdown. It’s time to settle the score to see who truly rules the court!
